Anything is possible. Two shooting stars may silently
stream down to the horizon. And if we are alone, "our" wish
will be a solitary one. But it is also possible we will not
be alone on this particular night. We may be with a friend
-- or someone we love. And then "our wish" could be made
together as we look up. And so, this wish would truly be
"ours."
Sometimes, if the moment is right, we may not need to say
anything. We will know we are seeing "it" together. The
stars will fall and good omens will come from them. We may
look to the person we are with after we see it. And we will
know what our friend might have been thinking. God will be
our witness. Possibly, it may be a mutual wish. We will hope
for the best. And, like the silence in shooting stars, we too
can remain quiet together -- enjoying what we see and cannot
see together.
